Beam for desktop
Your workspace, one click from the dock.
The same Beam you use in the browser, as a native app for macOS and Windows: keyboard shortcuts for every page, deep links, and automatic updates. Everything still runs on beam.expert, so your data and approvals work exactly the same.

Installing on macOS
- Open the DMG and drag Beam to Applications.
- The first time you open it, macOS may say the developer can’t be verified. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway, or right-click the app and choose Open.
- Sign in with your Beam account. Updates install automatically.
Not sure which Mac you have? Apple menu → About This Mac: “Apple M…” means Apple silicon; “Intel” means Intel.
Installing on Windows
- Run the installer and choose where to install.
- If Windows shows a SmartScreen notice, click More info → Run anyway.
- Sign in with your Beam account. Updates install automatically.
Requires Windows 10 or later, 64-bit.
The desktop app is a secure shell around beam.expert: it holds no secrets, runs no server, and opens unknown links in your system browser. Every action in a connected app still waits for your approval.
